Done with GMAT~*

I'm finally done with GMAT! After my first trial back in 2006, I decided to re-take it cuz I was not really happy with my old GMAT score of 700 esp cuz of my horrible verbal score. While preparing for the test, I mainly focused on the verbal sep. sentence correction. I used OG 12 and 1,012 GMAT Practice Questions by Princeton Review.

There were so many people who were taking GMAT at the test center. I could see that the volume of this year's MBA application from Korea would be huge. I used the foam ear plugs to block all the noise and that really helped me to focus on the test the whole time.

I think I did okay with the AWA.. so I hope the AWA score will be at least 5 .. gotta wait 20days til the official score with the AWA evaluation is ready. Quant was pretty easy but I took too much time in the first half so I had to rush in the second half. But at the end, I had 5mins left and I finished the test. :) Verbal was my biggest concern. I really didnt wanna mess it up again because of V. So I took the first questions very seriously and I spent much time to make sure I got all the first questions right. I spent too much time in the first half (again!) so I had to move faster towards the end. I managed to complete the test right in time.

At the end of the test, I was so darn happy to see my new score of 750 (Q:50 / V:40) finally both sections fall in the 80 percentile~* Now I really gotta focus on the essays! :)

Blogging my way to b-school

5 years of professional career has taught me a lot and I would have never been where I am without working with the awesome people from work and life. Now I am trying to start a new journey to pursue a new challenge in life - yes I am going to apply to Business School this year. To be the class of 2012! I am retaking GMAT on 4th Sep.. which is only 5 days away. Hopefully I can get a score that I feel "safe" enough not to be disadvantaged. I've started to write essays little by little but til next Fri, I should be more focused on the GMAT and of course work. :) this is gonna be an exciting journey ^^ Let's focus on the GMAT prep!
